Privacy notice
What this website collects, why, and the choices you have.
Effective November 8, 2026. This notice covers this website. It’s written in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask us.
Who we are
Bake It Happen, 815 Richardson Dr., Jasper, TX 75951. You can reach us at (208) 602-9131.
ARGIS Tech LLC built this website and looks after it for us, and Hostinger hosts it. They handle the site’s information only to run it for us.
What we collect
What you choose to send us. We only get personal information when you fill in a form on this site:
- Order or question form: your name, email, phone (optional), the date you need it, the kind of order and your message.
- “Hold one for me”: the treat you picked is filled into the same form.
What every website receives. When you visit, your browser sends your IP address and basic details such as the browser type. When you send a form we keep the IP address with it for 30 days to stop spam and abuse; after that we delete it. Our web host may keep short-term server logs for security.
What we don’t do. There’s no advertising tracking, no analytics service and no tracking pixels on this site, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.
How we use it
Only to answer you and to provide what you asked for, such as confirming a cake order or holding a treat for you; to keep the site secure; and to keep the business records the law requires. We send you emails or texts only about what you asked for. We don’t send marketing unless you ask to get it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, including any sensitive information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:
- with the companies that run the site and our email for us (our web host and email provider), under their own duty to keep it confidential;
- if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Content from other companies
- Google Maps and Facebook posts on this site load only when you press the button to show them. After that, Google or Facebook receives your visit and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. If you tick “Always show”, your browser remembers that choice; clear your browser’s site data to undo it.
- Some lettering on this site comes from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches it from Google, which sees your IP address. Google says it doesn’t use this to profile visitors.
- Links to other sites (social media, directions, delivery apps) take you to those companies, whose own privacy policies apply.
Cookies and storage
This site sets one cookie of its own: a session cookie that keeps forms secure (it protects against forged submissions) and keeps you signed in if you work here. It is deleted when you close your browser.
Because we don’t track you across websites, “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals don’t change anything here. We already treat every visitor as if those settings were on.
How long we keep it
We keep order messages for as long as we need them to fill your order and keep our business records (usually up to three years), then delete them. IP addresses are removed after 30 days. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to give you a copy. Contact us at (208) 602-9131. We’ll confirm it’s you before we act, and we’ll answer within 45 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking. If we say no, you can ask us to reconsider, and if you’re still not satisfied you can contact the Texas Attorney General (opens in a new tab).
These choices are open to everyone, wherever you live.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only staff with a password can see messages and requests. No website is perfectly secure, but if a breach affected your information we would tell you as Texas law requires.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
